We are a family run garden centre and lifestyle store located in the pretty harbour village of Birdham near Chichester, Russells can be found on the road to West Wittering beach.

Our story – Following an extremely rocky time for our business during covid times we started the process to gain planning permission to replace Russells 80 year old building with a smaller energy efficient centre to carry us into our retirement,  but the arduous process took such a long time and a toll on our health that we now do not have the energy  to carry out our dream!
We have come to the hard decision that it’s time to retire and put Russells garden centre on the market with the hope of finding a family who can carry on this amazing business that we have nurtured and put our heart and soul into over the last 30 years – we are proud of our achievements – in our heyday we juggled an a la carte licensed restaurant, deli, pet shop, garden store, plant centre, furniture, lifestyle and gift shop whilst  bringing up our family.
Throughout this time we have been presented with  many awards, demonstrating the  importance to us of supporting our amazing staff, helping in the local  community and raising funds for charities close to our heart – we hope to find someone who will want to carry on the traditions we started and have the energy to innovate and carry Russells into the modern digital world – sale details for our 2 acre freehold garden centre and  restaurant can be gained from info@russellsgardencentre.com
